Overview
The School of Nursing at SLEC Campus is committed to nurturing compassionate and competent healthcare professionals through a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge and extensive practical training. Our nationally accredited programs follow NVQ standards, preparing students for careers in hospitals, elderly care centers, rehabilitation facilities, and home-based care, both locally and abroad.
At SLEC, students experience hands-on training under the guidance of qualified professionals in real-life scenarios, ensuring they develop critical caregiving skills, professional ethics, and confidence to handle challenging healthcare environments.
Programs Offered
Caregiver – NVQ Level 3 & 4
A comprehensive course designed to equip students with essential skills to care for the elderly, patients with disabilities, and individuals needing daily assistance.
Entry Requirements
- Age 17 or above
- Sitting G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) or completed Grade 8 with a recognized NVQ Level 2 qualification for the NVQ Level 3 course.
- Must have completed NVQ Level 3 in Caregiving or passed G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) with relevant subjects for the NVQ Level 4 course.
- Passion for healthcare and a strong sense of empathy
- Basic English proficiency (recommended)
